N1C Ribbon Cutting Open House is July 19

JANESVILLE, WIS. — N1 Critical Technologies, a manufacturer and seller of Lithium-Ion uninterruptible power supply systems, will hold a ribbon cutting and open house at its new headquarters from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018, as part of a Forward Janesville Inc., “Business After 5” event.

Event Sponsor

Sponsored by Eaton Corporation, N1 Critical is hosting a “Casino Night” Fundraiser at the event to support the purchase of new Double Robotics Double 2 Telepresence Robots for area schools. N1C will match up to $3,500 raised for the cause, which will give home-bound students the opportunity to remain connected with their teachers and classmates with the remotely controlled robots.

N1C CEO Nate Ellsworth previously donated one of the robots to the Janesville School District (see related Janesville Gazette story). Using the robots, students who are homebound for an extended period can “virtually” attend school from home and remain in touch with teachers and classmates via two-way videoconferencing. The robots feature a camera and iPad tablet to allow the controlling student to both see and be seen. Motorized wheels allow the robots to travel school hallways from class to class, letting homebound students to experience all the sights, sounds and discussions going on in their classrooms via their school-issued laptops or tablets.
